Ive heard it before back in day, but mostly from women themselves.. talkin about "good hair" and "ooh girl he can give me light eye babies".. This is back in 90s when I was a jit cleanin up saloons.. This shyt run deep the reverse uno they running on dudes, lol..They're all over tiktok. But how come we're supposed to listen and be supportive when a black woman complains about how no black man wanted her because she was "too dark" but corny black guys get ridiculed? Why is one experience more valid than the other and why is the other gaslighted and turned into victim blame?
Of course, I've never seen a bad dark-skinned woman complain about colorism IRL, but I've never heard anyone complain or talk about it IRL.
