you serious?it's blatantly obvious he's rapping because he likes to and isn't doing it for money. obvious because he openly states he has a day job, and that he's creating music he likes that is the exact opposite of what sells right now. he comes out of pocket for album roll outs and those vinyl pressings and what not. people are in here acting like it's 1998 and he's seeing high returns on album sales and shyt. give me a break.
he earns a decent, middle class salary (for NY standards) and was lucky and more importantly smart enough to cop a piece of property before the neighborhood blew up. got a nice life carved out for him and his wife and creates art he likes in his free time that other people happen to like as wellto the dude. that's a win by any standard
at people on here not realizing that people make music because they enjoy doing it, or even bc they feel like they HAVE to do it as a release. there are people out there, believe it or not, that rap because its not a career choice but its something they enjoy. people like "he's 40 he should stop trying to be a rapper"
trying? he IS a rapper. and he'd be rapping regardless of whether or not anyone knew about him. it just happens that he's nice enough to build up a fan base.

and he doesnt really rap about being active in dirt dealings, but i dont think he raps about being broke either, he just doesnt rap about having money. i think rap has twisted us so much with the dearth in content that when someone doesnt rap about money (if they have it), it gets confusing to some listeners
this is more of a problem for him and his job status, than it should be for anyone who actively listens to Kas' music
