What did you have on your resume? Internships, work experience?

I did a few years in the Navy out of high school and they asked me a lot about that so I know that helped. I was a fraud Analyst for another major bank for about a year. I said earlier in the thread I had to do some finessing on my resume due to work history gap but I can't be too detailed on that. I can't be opening up no cold case. But lets just say that it was nothing crazy but it was all relevant to banking and finance.

One thing I heard about grades in regards to graduate school: "Grades don't get you in, but they can keep you out."

After careful consideration, fukk this shyt:dame:

My network and my bullshyt game is impeccable. It's gotten me thus far, and I'm gonna continue to rely on it. I've already built hella relationships in like half a year at the job. Everyone I work with has one, but that just made me realize they finesse game ain't as good as mine.

I hate school with a passion. I only considered looking into an MBA because it seemed like I would need one to advance in my field. That's not true at all.

:whew: Thought I was about to be back in school

Nobody probably would have accepted me anyway:umad:

OP if you dont have actual work experience you are wasting your time thinking about an MBA.

People say this but it's not necessarily true.

You won't get the kind of job that an experienced MBA would get, but a grad MBA with minimal experience and a good grad GPA is going to have better opportunities than an undergraduate with a 2.0 GPA.

There's a segment of college grads who can only get jobs in customer service, accounts receivable, Enterprise Rental Car type bullsh*t. A low-tier MBA is a way for those folks to get into a legit corporate gig.

If you have the ability to get a decent professional job, then an MBA should be put off until you build some work experience. If you're looking at crappy clerical jobs, and have the opportunity to get an MBA from an accredited program, it's something to at least look into.

This is the truth right here. GPA's are bullshyt, because people know that more than half of the time, students cheat to get the highest GPA.

Your real GPA shows up when you take standardized test like the gmat, lsat, nclex, pcat and etc.

You just need to score really well on the gmat, take some pre classes and read prep books and you should do will. Also get some strong letters of recommendations.

I ran into a lot of professionals that went on to grad/med school and they has 2.5 gpa's and lower. I graduated with a 2.49 in biology lol. I work with people that brag about graduating with 3.0 and up gpa's and shyt, but you work alongside of me and under me lol.

 what do you do breh ? graduated with a bs in biology with a 2.3. applied to pt school and didnt get in. went from working as a lab tech now im at a toyota dealership.

@SparkMcGwire what business experience do you have? Have you ever owned any sort of business enterprise?

I'm currently a Financial Analyst for a major bank. I got a few years experience in banking as an analyst. I've never owned anything legit as far a business. It's all a moot point though, cause I ain't pursuing this shyt anymore.
