nikka I didn't miss your point. You can compliment someone without all that extra shyt. I'm a college graduate myself, and hate everything about the concept of that shyt, but I'm not gonna come in here throwing little potshots at this man for graduating. Hell, I graduated with a 2.02 GPA

Patently false. There are many places that you cannot get to in the political or corporate world without a degree. Maybe in a bygone generation, but not today.
If you're a black man or woman in today's society, and are not an athlete, entertainer or entrepreneur of sorts, then you are limiting yourself greatly without a degree - heck a lot of these entertainers are college graduates themselves. Even majority of the entrepreneurs have their degrees.
Education is essential for the black community. Knowing how to dribble through your legs is not what is going to bring about economic prosperity in black communities.
Beyond that, when you are educated, no one can tell you shyt. A well educated black man or woman is truly in position of power. Are you forgetting that the slaves were literally denied the opportunity to learn by their masters? They knew educating them will eventually lead to their freedom. A well educated black society in America would be a force to reckon with.
Knowledge is literally power breh. Don't let anyone fool you.
