Honestly there are plenty of people who feel this way. You have to remember that X% of people in every situation are a$$holes. Most people will really look out for their family (I had a friend in school who LOVED his down's syndrome brother more than anything in the world no matter how much extra responsibility it gave him), but not everyone like that. The same people who are a$$holes in any normal family might also be a$$holes in a family with an autistic sibling.
