It is what it is bruh. Jersey doesn't have a real identity, no culture that sets it apart from New York. You look at Red Man and Meth, and you would think they both New York cats.

thats regular Eastcoast hood attire fam...give another example

I know how the rest of the world views it but that dont make it true...I'm just tellin you the facts...we might both use the word "son" at times but so do other states on the Eastcoast so that dont really count...we pretty much did away with most NY slang over here anyway...I cant speak for the rest of the state but where I'm from we got our own slang, own style of dress, bump our own music (jersey club and house music) and talk different...I can say the same for Trenton and around that area too....a lot of NY cats come to Newark and the surrounding area expect NJ to be a certain way and end up having a culture shock...I have a lot of relatives and people I know come here from NY that thought the same as you until they actually got here

Not in Philly. We talk different.....nikkas don't say "son"......we say stuff like "jawn, boi, akhi, nut ass nikka, drawlin". We dress different. Philly dudes was rocking polos and button ups when New York nikkas was still wearing timbs and flanel shirts :scusthov: The way we cut our hair is different, nikkas rock long muslim beards.

Not in DC either. DC nikkas love them nike boots, foamposites, new balances (they was rockin all these first, years before other regions). DC nikkas used to love wearing tube socks, sometimes wearing three or four socks at a time :scusthov: That's their style though. Alot of DC cats wear dreads too.

Yall Jersey dudes are too much like New York nikkas.

NJ/BK
You have BK on your location. :ohhh:

I know. I split my time between Jersey and BK. My mom lives in Jerz, my pops lives in East Flatbush.

That being said..... I was raised in Jersey, my legal address is in Jersey, I'm registered to vote in Jersey, my avi has Jersey on it, I rep Jersey. Period.

I've resided in Cali, Va and Jersey and Jersey is by far the worst. Unless you're like upper middle class you can't really enjoy Northern NJ life to the fullest.

North NJ has plenty of pockets of lower middle class towns. Especially in Hudson, Essex, and Passaic counties.
