True. But you also can't really say North Jersey is like NY with that logic. Essex overall is more lowerish middle class with the exception of West Orange.

If anything from my constant traveling. NJ as a whole is more like a mixture mashup of Maryland and Connecticut than PA. The only unique addition is the shore.

i'd say Hudson County is like NY (Jersey City, Hoboken and surrounding areas) but as far as the rest of North Jersey? well thats just North Jersey

ive been to Maryland, Connecticut and PA but see thats the problem...people love comparing different parts of NJ to other states...I even read something where someone (not from NJ) called Maplewood the "NY suburbs" lol...NJ is NJ to me...i give a fukk about those other states but then again i dont give a fukk about those other states...and thats the general mentality in Essex County..i guess other places in NJ dont rep as hard because its not as gutter...i dont know...I guess it dont sound as cool to say "I'm from West Deptford!" as it does to say "I'm from the Bricks!" or "I'm from Illtown!"

South Jersey is soooo whack. There are no females worth dating around here. Dated a girl from down here and she wasn't shyt. There's nothing to do. That's why I say fukk it and spend 99% of my free time in Philly

South Jersey is cool if you're old/married/have a family and just want to chill. But I want to party and wile out, so it's just not for me.

I don't really fukk with any other area of Jersey. Haven't heard many good things about it either.
