I hate pictures of myself. Is this "normal"?

Most of the pictures I do have are just of places I've been, cool stuff I've seen. Interesting people not really looking at the camera, city scapes, pictures of graffiti, pictures of forties, pictures of NYC. Very few of myself.

I guess I made this thread because I'm eventually just going to have to do a little lookbook for some items with my brand. I only have myself and my roommates to work with me to photograph me in the shoot, but they're working all the time like myself so we're not around all at the same time anyways....but I had some cool ideas for it.

I remember when I was posting pictures of myself on my tumblr...I had some people unfollow me after the fact. That sucks. But at this point I really don't give a flying f*ck. People on the internet are so damn superficial, flaky, and wishy washy...they have this vision in their mind of someone behind their words and their posts, but when the reality of what that person look like doesn't meet their ideal or fantasy they can't take it.

I feel that's just a good way of weeding out the loyal people who follow me from the fakes and trendhoppers though. Internet is serious business.

Yes, when it was first taken I didn't like it...I can always find something wrong.

I don't really like to take pictures and sometimes I do. 9 times out of 10 I hate it. I went through I period of trying not to take them at all. I still run from the camera, because I know its gonna turn out bad. Not photogenic.

that's you being self conscious.Your mind is telling you that,that's a nice pic even tho it's lopsided

I think I have no choice but to hire someone to professionally take my pictures (even selfies) from now on.

I'm the type of person that just ends up having to take 30+ pictures of myself just to put one on facebook.

I haven't put up a selfie of myself on my tumblr since july of last year.

That's gay, you're probably just not a camera who're so you're not sure of how to act in front of a camera.

And neither have I, it's called being normal.

I regret that really. There were so many memories I have of myself that I can't look back on that it's kind of sad. But then again, I went through a really rough period of depression that lasted over five years. Before that, I just never really felt compelled to post any pictures of myself even on my myspace back in the mid 00s.

I was moving around alot back then too. Between OH and PA.

All the pictures I had in my profile were of my kicks and clothes, I never really bothered taking pictures of myself. I guess that's why I want to take more pictures now.

Damn breh you sound a lot like myself... the depression didn't end that long ago... I went through a very rough patch of my life and it just ended. I got rid of the depression using self-hypnosis. It was also 5 years long maybe even more.. this did indeed make things worse. Now I look back and all the memories of shyt that happened are in my head it really sucks, but all I can do now change my habits... take some pics, even though i still do not like myself in them.

Maaaan I am a professional camera dodger The best way to get out of the camera is to be behind it. I am quick to take pictures for someone else. Sometimes when I see the pics on Facebook or something I am like I was there and nobody knows lol
