Robots may be able to increase production to levels above human demand. Its not highly probable but it is possible.
:picard: such a system will be riddled with so much waste and inefficiency that it wont last long.

The problem with your socialism with robots and UBI is it completely neglects the role of price

Price does more than just measure market value of a good or service..its also a feedback mechanism that controls production rates and consumption and it also signals scarcity and demand and lets people know when to look for alternatives and it also reduces waste.

Lets say for example you have a fish market..when its salmon season and supplies are plenty the sellers will slash the price..because they have too much and they dont want it to spoil...all the customers see 99 cent a pound salmon sales and realize there is plenty of it..so they buy it and freeze it .
At the same time the smart fishermen realize salmon prices have fallen and its not so profitable..so they focus their efforts on Shrimp or Tuna if they want to make a profit ...some of them may even take a short vacation since its not worth their time to go out and catch 99 cent salmon.
This diversion saves alot of waste because the fishermen who stop catching salmon arent bringing too much fish into the market that will rot and be thrown away

The opposite is also true...The sturgeon that makes caviar is rare..so the price of caviar is really high..so people kept catching them until there were very few left..then some resourceful fish farmer thought..hey why dont i build some ponds and grow sturgeon..and he made lots of money, soon others joined in and soon so many were farming that nobody bothered fishing for wild ones.

Whale oil used to be used in lamps, soap and cosmetics..untill the whales were hunted to near extinction...when whale oil became too expensive people started looking for substitutes like kerosene and vegetable oil

The point is if you disconnect price from the actual market you create a mess..waste and shortage are sure to follow

Well it will be impossible to maintain a normal economy with dynamic prices if no one has money to buy products. We have to think of something new

y'all need to stop watching all these sci-fi movies...
sci-fi movies are ideas that come from books usually which are ideas that come from people who view society from the past to the present and dream about what the future will bring. but since human's cant think about things they have not see or heard about. they rely on what they know and bend it a bit. the truth is, sci fi is always a twist on reality.
some movies/shows are more direct with their current day references while others stray away from being as direct with it.

Minority report we remember that movie. that movie came out in 2002

The xbox 360 with the Kinect sensor came out(after the wii) in 2010

How did they know about this in 2002? because the government either makes requests for the newest latest tech via the armed forces(darpa) or they keep an eye out for companies/people developing new tech.

I still remember watching NASA live early 2000's or maybe in the late 90's. and they were doing things on their computers. and someone said hey "what windows version are you guys using?" they laughed and admitted it was 2 or 3 windows versions of ahead of what we the public even knew was out at the time.

its like the public is on Windows XP. while NASA was on windows 10.

yep. a lot of things will have to change in regards to the you dont work you dont eat mantra we've all grown to know. if i can't work, i still need to eat. and we're still making boat loads of money for companies, states, and the country as a whole. why not share the wealth. of course they could choose not to share. that happens in a lot of those arab countries where they have all that oil. were that's their #1 resource that they make cake off of. like crazy money. and they still do not share it with their common folks. so you have the ultra rich and the ultra poor. the ultra rich government people hire a few broke folks and pay them well to protect them from the upset broke people.
