I HATE That The Black Community Gets Viewed As A "MONOLITH" Even Though It's Not

At one time I use to view the Black Community as a monolith. However, as I've gotten older I have begun to leave that viewpoint.

Listen, we have Black Jews, Black LGBT, Humanists, Muslims, Black Witches/Brujas, Voodun Preists/Preistess, Catholics, Atheists, Agnostics (myself), and so on. To label the Black Community as an "monolith" is an insult. Let's be honest, we do connect because of our African heritage and being the reflection of the sun. Also, our ancestors and their fight which iss ours by default. Those groups I have just listed plus more have helped our fight.


My point is that the media has a lot of yall fooled. You have Blacks who don't go to church or believe in Baptism. That's a stereotype just like the all Blacks like fried chicken one. Or the Irish and the lucky charms.

If yall got kids PLEASE teach them about our people and not the whitewashed shyt either. We are all in this fight together globally.

I feel like this information would be more helpful on a forum that doesn't have a primarily black population. Black people already know that we aren't all the same and do different things so this isn't really a new discovery for most people here. Possibly somewhere else this may be more valued
