Lots of gems are being dropped in this thread. I hope you’re all soaking up game.

Simple fact is everyone is a slave but people don't admit it because they lust after whips and chains to build their self esteem when the ones who felt whips and chains for real knew the game and would do anything to be free.

The system is designed to keep you poor.

That video is the truth. I’m glad I figured this out in my early 20s.

Sometimes i wish i had a 9-5 and i still apply to some openings when i see them but im content for now owning my condo and working like 20 hrs a week from september-may then like 10 hrs per week tops from june-august

I just bought some classes from udemy during the memorial day sale and am looking to parlay that into a remote IT job eventually. Idk

Im making enough to pay the bills and save a little bit..plus i have a roommate that pays me rent plus half of all utilities..but idk i kinda feel like a bum sometimes

On the other hand my stress level is like zero

What u do? How u get to work those hours?

Mostly tennis lessons. Some clerical work too.

Tennis center is closed second week of june until late august so i teach outdoors on public courts so i dont have to pay court fees. I actually charge less for a lesson over the summer than i do during the "season" and i make more money per lesson

Ebay is my main breadwinner right now. I regularly have $500-$1000 days on there. Making what would be a week's pay at my old job in one day. Shopify is second in line. Whenever I run my Facebook ads it's pretty much guaranteed sales for me. The subscription pays for itself. My first Ebay store (1200+ listings) is doing so good I just started a second Ebay store and I anticipate that to be bigger than my first one. This month I coached 2 people for free to help them get started on Ebay and I had 2 more people on Instagram message me for help so I might start charging for that too. There's money in everything if you got the eye for it. None of this happened overnight. It took a lot of work on my part and a lot of trying to figure shyt out but I knew what I wanted.

I guarantee everybody in this thread with a 9-5 has a skill that they can monetize. Find out what that is, package it in the form of an online course and it might make more than that job you're working. Ya'll should really visit the "6 Figures, 6 Certs" forum. A lot of free game being dropped in there daily.

Where you get all your info on how to do this? You got a thread on here on what to do? Should I pm?

That’s smart and sounds lovely. You could get a part time job and chill.

How good were you in tennis? Must have been a beast.

Growing up idgaf about sports and now realize there are countless opportunities from playing sports as a youngin.

I feel you. I knew I wasn't cut out for this shyt 5-6 years ago. :pacspit:

I gotta get back in the work force tho. My unemployment just ended, so now it's back to it. :francis:

Hopefully I only have to do this shyt another few years until my career takes off.

#1 in my region as a jr and a state champ in hs...was burnt out and got an academic scholarship so i didnt play for 5 years following hs lol

I mean the schedule flexibility is great. For instance, today it was rainy but i still snuck a lesson and a hitting session in and made good money for the 2 hours. Things get even better when the kids are out of school. And if i dont want to book a lesson i just dont lol :yeshrug:

Its just not sustainable long term. One injjry and im fukked. And when i get :flabbynsick:

I'm about to get my bachelor's and then hit the Air Force. Hopefully by the time I get out I have contacts to get outta the 9-5. shyt sucks ass.

Give me 4 10s. Them 3 day weekends be legit:lawd:

If I can make some sort of passive income, like $2k a month in the side I could work part time, so that's the plan.

To add on to this:

You work Friday...so lets just say most of us are tired by tha end of our shifts yet Im sure some still get that "hell yea iss friday an i got my check" energy boost. Me? Ion care no more I get my weed and go home.

Getting to tha point tho: so yea...scratch Friday off (shyt for me at least)

Saturday is all good

And Sunday is exactly how you described (for me). Whole day is just me mentally preparing for the work week. Its such a useless day to me I dont mind working on it sometimes. I might as well right? *rolls eyes so hard they fall out my skull*

Every single second of tha work day I feel like a ticking time bomb. Nah...not in tha school shooter sense but in tha sense of my soul can not take this stupid ass shyt much longer.

Yes oMg I sHouLd bE tHaNkFUl fOr mY oPpoRtUnIties but mane... fukk all that.

I always said 2 days ain't enough. It ain't shyt. We need 3 days.

Friday: Turn up Friday night
Saturday: Sleep in,Lounge for a bit, work on side business/hobbies
Sunday: Church, Chores, & Sunday dinner Mental Relaxation
Monday: Side Business, Chill, Hobbies

Would you rather be unemployed and broke then? Folks are fortunate and spoiled for real. At least you can change your life with a job under your belt vs not knowing where your next dollar is coming from because you have no job. You think you're stuck but you're not.

Some of these folks never had to struggle or been in some real shyt where they get put to the test on how determined they are to make a better life for themselves. They do drastic steps unnecessarily simply because their minds arent right and it's usually the people that are in a good position too so they have the option to do whatever they feel like. Willing to go backwards to find fulfillment and happiness. Makes no sense.

Man forget all that, it's 2019. We tryna move on up like the Jeffersons. I ain't tryna be content with the same routine and then finally enjoy life at 60:scusthov: And the summer coming too

Gotta enjoy your work and if you don't it's time to make some changes.

This is the most obvious thing to do

Even if you work for yourself you’ll be working more than 9-5 most times

I don’t know if it’s modern society or what, but find a job/career you like and don’t mind working.

I work in cyber security and analyse malware/digital forensics. It’s my interest and hobby. I study and read books on it and do it in work. It’s my 9-5 and I like it

Yup. Any job is going to have it's stressers but fundamentally if you've chosen a career you're driven to work and learn in the time, in years begins to fly by. Many people make career compromises that break their spirit because they're doing what they hate or subject themselves to people they can barely tolerate.
