Born and raised all my life here...but the older I get I really feel like it's just time to go.

Saturday I was visiting friends in Ridgewood, queens. I know Brooklyn is got got but damn! Where the fukk did all of these goofy white people come from? They all look the same too! Me and my boy were just grabbing some Dominican food from this one spot on myrtle and they were legit pissing me off!

The self entitlement, the disrespect towards the original residents, the absolute refusal to mingle with the locals. I fukking HATE these people now. Oh they racist too...thanks to all the jew landlords for inviting these people to kill this city. Thanks to Bloomberg for allowing this place to be turned into a luxury playpen for rich kids with no lives.

Now I see that there are still some kids that are trying to "make it" here...but unless you have a good job that brings in a lot of money or some lucrative side hustles just forget about it. I saw some kids that didn't even look like they were poor outside of a KFC asking people for money. Do you really want to come to new York and live with 15 people in an apartment and beg for change just cause? That's no life to live.

All and all...stick a fork in this bytch it's done. Storefronts closing everyday, for lease signs on the front, seemingly more homeless people than ever. Tons of luxury condos and steel and glass apartments popping up. I don't see this ever reversing itself.

It's been around for a good 400 years. It'll be here for some time to come, trust me. :coffee:

America as a whole is finished
It just might be.

If other cities see what's going on here and are trying to replicate it, it's going to be a massive problem. I know people laud the successes of gentrification but I've seen the ugly side of it and know it does more harm than good.

And I'm not saying that gentrification isn't a thing in NYC but there are large chunks of Brooklyn, Queens, and The Bronx where you can walk around and see little to no white people

I would say that neighborhoods far from Manhattan and without subway service won't be affected (Flatlands, Mill Basin, Laurelton, Rosedale, etc.).

There were always white people in Western Queens
There's a difference though. It's easy to tell born and raised white people in Queens from these hipsters. One, they aren't afraid of people of color. Two, they aren't on that "look at me" Halloween 24/7 tip. Three, they actually are a part of the neighborhood. Not like this new breed. They are rude, they are intrusive, they feel like they can go anywhere. I'd take the former over the latter anyday.

Society based completely on capitalism. Those without money have zero power. Rich white people decided they wanted to take the cities back and move the hood out to the burbs where it can be out of sight and out of mind. I dont see any solution but its gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better.
