The second part about Brazil is not even up for dispute. The racial dynamics there are completely different to America and aren’t reduced to black & white. Again, I don’t know why this is a contentious issue. The one-drop rule that existed during and after slavery in America was completely different to how racial relations operated anywhere else in the Americas and that is reflected in the modern day.
