Congress has ridiculously low approval ratings. People aren't fans of politicians and their agendas, many of the dem incumbents continue to win because they never have primary challengers and the people in those districts would rather have a Democrat than a Republican. Being willing to shine a light on what these politicians are doing wrong, regardless of which side they're on will get positive results. It's exactly how Trump got elected, even though he was full of shyt.

even trump kept it high level during the election, mainly attacking his presidential opponents. Elections are different than attacking your own allies during the governing process.

Bernie never did that to the degree that AOC is doing currently. She’s taking it to an entire new level.

Fellow democrats are legitimately and rightfully imo, pissed at her. She’s drawing competition to herself.

absolutely, but that’s not an overarching definition for the ppl she targets. If it was 2-4 specific individuals that she targets I’d understand.

She’s well over 30-40. Most of whom do not fit the example u just provided
Can you give an example? :jbhmm:

Not doing that didn't help Bernie have any allies in his election and it didn't help with the constituents you seem to be worrying about. Why not try a new tactic?

When she attacks other democrats, why do you think their supporters won’t react negatively?

Elected officials represent the ideals of the majority of their constituents believe in. So when she attacks fellow democrats left and right, she essentially attacking the voters that represent the democratic base and what they believe in.

I think her national approval ratings will steadily decrease because she attacks loads of other democrats.

If you think this is the wrong synopsis, why do you feel that way? I’m truly looking for an answer, bc Idk how that’s a winning strategy long term.

I think she's just a feisty Latina. She has a voice and isn't afraid to speak her mind.

For real though, I don't believe she has no strategy or plan. All she does is run her mouth and point her salon-pedicured finger at other people. She has yet to do one thing while in office. She hasn't even so much as filled in a pothole. If she was older and less attractive she wouldn't even be talked about right now. Let alone won an election. If I've learned anything from watching Trump struggle with this Covid-19 situatuion, is that we need more competent people in office and less overrated grandstanders who blame everybody for everything when things go wrong and will take all of the credit when things go right.

I think Bernies radical side of his base pushed him to not being able to ally with other dems. Plenty of his colleagues were interested in doing so. And I think he would of, if ppl stopped making him be so idealistic.

her methods have led to the largest candidate pool of challengers for a congressional seat in a while

What's the point of having these people win if they won't change anything because they're too busy being nice to those already in power? You mentioned earlier that AOC was targeting black representatives, what have those representatives done for the black community since being in office? Symbolic victories don't move us forward and don't make our lives better, so if you have to compromise your principles to get the support of your party then it's not worth it for some people.

I’m not a believer in racist leftism. I’m sure you’ll start seeing that term a year or two from now.

You don’t think she needs to align with the black part of the party or at minimum not strategically try to remove them from office?
She needs to align with like-minded people in Congress and it is her right to try and remove members she thinks aren't up to their constituents' standards regardless of ethnic background. Just cause your Black doesn't mean you shouldn't be targeted.

plenty. The CBC doesn’t just sit on their ass. I hate when supposed black voters say this. It just shows they follow headline politics.
