I have an idea for an app that has a multi million dollar valuation if created. But I can't make it

The thing these "app dreamers" always forget is that these startup companies/apps (for the most part) all had substantial investment and a business plan was formulated that was just as good as the product itself.

There were plenty of facebook-like websites man, only a few of them had investment and from then on it was a war for users.

Let's be honest, a lot of these cats (not saying OP is one of them) just want a "get rich quick" plan. They think the App Store and Google Play is the lottery and that they have the winning ticket. Everyone wants to be Steve Jobs.

I wasn't this hostile towards it in the beginning, I actually tried to help a person. But after hearing it non-stop for about a year and a half....

How long does it actually take to learn enough coding to build an adequate website or app? I have an idea but I would probably collaborate with an investment firm I work for that makes millions of dollars because they have the funds to actually make it happen and it would tap into a market they just can't service at the level they are at. Yes aspects of the idea exists through other sites there are no original ideas its about marketing and implementation ...just like apple didn't create the smart phone but they brought it to be mainstream.

Well first off The Winklevoss's still made out with a pretty hefty sum. So if someone sharked your idea, you'd still make a decent amount.

Secondly. :comeon: multi-million dollar evaluation? and the thing hasn't even been created stop it, you don't know this.

And last you're worrying about the wrong thing, hire someone to build it for you, make them sign ndas/noncompete or whatever and keep it moving. You're not at the stage to be worrying about someone sharking your idea. All you're doing is making excuses for yourself to not be taking a risk

Precisely. I know people that swear by the dumbest ideas, well not dumb but just something already being done or isn't as great as they think.

Your app will most likely need graphics and/or animations. There are a few dudes here on the coli that are better than me on photoshop but I can animate in 2D and model in 3D.

Hit me up if you come up with some kinda visuals budget. :whoo:

1. Ideas are worth $0 and 0% of them are original. It's the end product that matters.
2. Go on elance and odesk and get an initial version of your app built for dirt cheap.
3. If you have something you'll know it. You can either 1) Go straight to the app store or 2) Approach people with money and get a 2nd better version built.
4. Hope that someone else with better resources (money, traffic, connections) doesn't come along and take your original idea

The whole app thing is a crap shoot.

The problem with a lot of these "ideas" is that people are very impatient and don't let things bake.

Hell I've had something in mind for 2+ years already and it's NOW that I'm finally forming the LLC. So much of it is just research and really coming out with something unique.
