The point obviously flew over your head. The small- ball spread the floor while launching a bunch of 3s and disregarding post play style of play is not superior to the traditional inside-out style of play. Anybody saying/thinking that dumb shyt "lost". It's just easier for teams to play that way since the league is encouraging it with the rule changes and the way that they're calling the game.
