Because as kids you had to play what your parents got you. I can't count how many Castlevania runs I did as a kid. I can play the game more or less off muscle memory.

My older brother had the lion king game for super nintendo and for the life of me I couldn't beat that shyt, this and the star wars game had me losing my shyt.
Those were my first games I remember ever playing.
