Do away with the current playoff structure and implement 1-16...Will the more talented upper echelon teams more than likely win their first round matchups? Yes but we will still be treated to high level basketball within the middle of the pack.

Make homecourt determined by who won the regular season matchup. If the team splits the series then go into ancillary statistics like margin of victory, fg % turnovers & fouls.

Eliminate Hack A Shaq by introducing a new sort of bonus. If one player is hacked more than five times in a quarter then from that point on every foul on that player will count as 2 fouls and the player that was fouled team will receive the ball back.

Am I on to something?

No - you are not, sir.

But I have fixed it.

Change the Playoffs to 9 seeds in each conference.

The top 3 seeds are the winners of each division (seeded by record), and the remaining seeds are the 6 best records of the teams left.
Teams 4-9 play each other best 2 out of 3, then the winners play the winners in the divisional rounds.

This will hold out some hope yearly for the perennial bottom seeds that can't seem to get right, as well as add a little revenue
for at least a couple of games.

balance the teams so that only 2 all stars can be on a team at the same team, if a third member of the team suddenly becomes an AS, the team must trade/cut him or the team gets fined $100 billion. the said player must sit in a players pool and then be auctioned to a team with no more than 2 AS on their roster.

If this happens, I seriously see the Brooklyn Nets having a title in the next 5 years :ehh:

So you want to penalize players and teams for becoming good?:gucci:
