I really can't "defend" why I love trap/meaninglessly violent gangsta rap besides saying it's something like a guilty pleasure

Believe me I've heard all the typical "just entertainment/not their responsibility" rhetoric but it's honestly bullshyt I think we accept because we enjoy the music and they enjoy the money.

As someone who'd like to call themselves "conscious" or whatever it's hard to listen to someone melodically rap about killing someone or selling drugs and not think about the kids with no guidance taking the very same lyrics as gospel and leading themselves astray.

Probably isn't the best venue to say this but whatever

That's what growing up feels like. I can be reading greek philosophy and shyt but I still get amped for a fist fight or some g music though.

I used to question myself how I can like conflicting shyt but seems like it's all about balance at the end of the day. Probably not good for the soul to be listening to negative shyt all the time, while watching action movies and seeing dudes get clapped in the hood but fukk it

Kanye is avg when it comes to bars but he's a decent freestyle rapper(off the top)

Most ATL music now is not that good outside of a party or the club . most of it Has no soul


the drill scene reminds me of the NY mid 90's scene but it will come to an end soon.

New Jersey makes some of the best drill music

Gucci manes flow is top notch
DJ Khaled is a Boss

The other day I spent about 2 hours dancing to 90s music including hammer, marky Mark, & vanilla ice... I was tired as hell afterwards.
