I actually liked the more subtle thing he was doing from August on. Not that this is bad, but the super evil heel voice and "these people cheering for him are idiots" stuff is really basic and makes him like every other heel. HHH us at his best when he's acting like he's not being an a$$hole and just knows what he's doing is right when he prevents Bryan from getting anywhere because of how he looks.

I know smarks complained about the more subtle stuff "BUT IS HE A HEEL OR FACE? IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE!", yet these are usually the same people talking about not insulting the fans intelligence and how wrestling should try to have respectable writing compared to other TV shows. So, to act like some writing with nuance just doesnt make sense was stupid imo.

Anyway, I don't want to complain too much, I know HHH will kill it at WM and have match of the night with Bryan

I'm glad somebody else saw what that was about during those months... he was clearly bein' a d!ckhead while pretending to be "fair" and just doing what's best for biz. Everything was done in a "see? I'm not a bad guy" way but the screwjob would always come when the match happened.

But nah, at this point, it makes sense that he's started straight-up heeling on Bryan. He tried to mask his dikkheadedness by acting like he had no personal issue with anyone, and now it's built up to the point it finally all comes out. Now he hates Bryan, Orton, Batista, the crowd, everybody...

This would've been Punk, but fukkit, can't do anything about it. I don't care what booking changes had to be made... fukk "b-but Meltzer said Sheamus"... I like where it is now. Bryan's going over, and it's hilarious that people are still in doubt about it.

Disingenuous a$$hole Hunter was fantastic, but what we have now is more appropriate for the storyline with Bryan. At this point, Bryan's popularity and resilience has pissed him off to the extent that he can't be the guy he was in August. You'll get little glimpses every now and then (an example of this being his confrontation with Bryan a couple of weeks ago), but full heel Hunter is working right now.

That is, as long as he doesn't screw it up and insist on fukking going over.

Triple H has always been a great if not greatest heel.

you have never seen any flair to say this.

flair purposefully going over the top rope for the DQ, is still leagues above cripple ache's booking on the fly character.
personally,..
hhh, should have done this last year and took the title off of punk.
to face the rock at mania.......

It's cool that you liked that gimmick and I get that HHH's character was way more complex than most of wrestling's characters. But you can't act like most of the live crowds knew how to react to him and Steph.

People were wondering if they were heel or faces not only because of their act but because they were getting cheers one week and boos the next one. "Deep" writing goes over most fans heads and I don't see how it worked with the Authority from September to the RAW in Seattle. They didn't generate much heat, they didn't get people riled up and invested in angles and didn't help any guy on the roster to get more over in that period.

He's not killing it. Step has been really good for the first time on her onscreen run. Cripple H is spinning off a smoking hot face like Bryan which makes the everyday mark care for his actions. Don't get it twisted. .what happened at the Rumble still happened. They wanted Batista to be in the Rock difference maker spot but fans rejected it wholesale and LEGITMATELY harassed all of their talent until they got their minds right.

Hero's can not rise without worthy villains. Diamonds can not be forged without pressure and so on and so on.

Would anyone care about Bryan if he did not have foes?

I cant even see it as "deep writing". They were clearly tweeners. If they wanted to make it more "deep" he wouldnt have outright screwed Bryan at Summerslam and let him lose under questionable circumstances.

Example: Randy cashes in, the Shield distracts HHH misses a belt shot or something HHH has to mak3 the pin for Randy because he was the ref on duty "Best for business"

HHH should have only went full Heel for the unification match and finally declared Randy as his champion. This storyline needed a lot more Vince too.

Triple H is an excellent Heel
he's horrible as a face though, never comes off as believable because you expect him to turn at any second

When he was trying to cop sympathy applauses after tapping out to Brock and got booed out the building:mjlol: Were here to hate you nikka, not cheer for you
