BF3's campaign was an abomination, BF4's was only slightly better
BF4 campaign was/is EPIC imo.
Because of the EA server fukk ups, I haven't finished it yet. I did make it damn near the end 3x (getting erased each time thanks to EA)
And each time I played thru it, I took different approaches. The skirmishes were fun
The characters had emotions and there was bonding going on
I'm wondering if Homeboy ends up eating Lo Mein at the end :leon:

TBC...

I hope you are joking about that one? I never played Battlefield anything
Heard about BC2.. That is the one everyone was in love with before BF3 correct?
I think I downloaded it when I had a banned xbox. Couldn't play it online because of that :to:
But I tried out the campaign. You start off on a raft I believe. I played about an hour of it
Thought it was the worst campaign for a FPS I have ever played :manny:
Xbox 360 version... now that I think about it, I guess I didn't have any updates either (banned system)
The A.I was real suspect

if memory serves me correctly, you start off doing a night time special forces raid in a jungle during ww2. you need to rescue an important japanese scientist

and yeah, that is the one everybody loves. outside of that ww2 flashback intro, the game gives you enough freedom to use the destructive physics in the levels to play how you want to play.

the AI was not perfect but it was functional, especially when you consider that all cover they use can be destroyed, including whole buildings which will crush them to death. no QTEs, well executed if cliched action movie dialog, and powerful weapons that destroy stuff. this is what i was expecting once they switched from bad company to the main BF series. instead, they ran away from the series' defining feature by giving you levels with toned down physics and QTEs. the tight restrictions of COD are a million times better

I didn't play it enough to develop that type of feel for it, but BF4? You can do what you explained in it
You can do anything almost, as long as you have the ammo. I was trapped in a room, put C4 on the wall.. ran to the other side. Blasted my way out that situation. One of the reasons I was like :gladbron: at first. I just enjoyed it each time I went thru it. I'll probably start up the campaign again today :obama:
