You got this

Take off is not like a roller coaster and doesn't feel nearly as fast as it really is. Looking out the window can help.

But basically... The shyt will shake on take off, landing and in the air. Which is fine. It's not smooth the whole way but that doesn't mean something bad gonna happen.

If it's an hour flight you'll be flying low and probably turning coming off the runway. It's all normal, working as designed.

The wheels coming out can be frightening because it's unexpected but again, totally normal. And contact with ground on landing can be intense, but once that happens and you haven't died yet you know you're good.

A Xanax for an hour flight is totally overkill, but do what you got to to get where you are going.

Also , if it's an hour flight you'll probably be sitting on the tarmac on the plane waiting to take off for a little while, again totally normal, just something else to expect.

Just flew 7 hours on Sunday from Lisbon no turbulence

:ahh:

Just got back myself. Whole gotdamn flight was turbulence. shyt had me :stopitslime:.

Anyways, I love the takeoff, that's why I pick the window seat. OP, think of it as the odds of the plane crashing are so minute, you have nothing to worry about...just make sure it's not that new Boeing plane and you're good. Also, 1 hour is nothing...but if they have you on one of those tiny ass planes, enjoy. :lolbron:

You probably won’t even be that high in the air. You fly above the clouds for longer flights. I once flew from NYC to Boston, and could pretty much see Manhattan for most of the flight.

Yea, I've done that flight before. Very nice. I always like landing. You really get a nice view of whatever city your flying into.

Told the kid in the other thread...an hour flight is basically 20 minutes getting to the proper altitude, 20 minutes actually being in the air, and 20 minutes for descending.

He’s literally only in the air for 20 mins.

:mjlol:

Not trying to clown OP at all because fear of flying is real. But for an hour flight? Lol.

Told that nikka he better take some shots of Hennessy and chill.

I ain't a pilot, but I feel like they shouldn't brought the wheels down on sand. You would think you'd rather glide on the sand instead.:patrice:

Also, that wreck didn't look that bad for passengers. Couldn't someone survive that?

An hour flight is pretty much a waste of a good Xan. Just do a couple shots - and I mean ONLY a couple - to calm your nerves and you'll be straight.

You're making it WAY worse than it is. Take off is pretty smooth, nothing like a roller coaster. You'll first taxi down the runway for maybe a minute, then the plane is basically "driving" pretty fast (doesn't feel any different than doing 80 on a highway IMO) for another minute and then it's wheels up from there.

Yes you'll feel that you're climbing (you'll be leaning back in your seat a bit), but you're making the ascent at a controlled rate of speed so it's subtle, at least more subtle than you're probably thinking. That lasts about 15-20mins but after the first 7ish minutes, you won't even notice anymore. You may experience a little wind or "turbulence" but it's nothing beyond the norm. With it being such a short flight, by the time you're "used to" being in the air you're landing.

Anyway, be sure to check back in tomorrow after the flight so we can all clown you for being a lil bytch.

*meant to add this vid to show you how chill takeoffs actually are.

Yea, an hour flight is basically, take off, then cruise for 20 mins and prepare for landing. I's nothing. However, worst flight I ever been on in my life was 45 min flight from Montreal to Toronto. I was a teen...never was nervous about flying before but that day, I seriously had a lump in my throat. Had mafukkaz screaming and praying. Other than that, besides some annoying turbulence, I've never been nervous....there was the time the entire plane shut off right before takeoff and the other time where we were delayed for hours cuz something was wrong with the engine :merchant:. Other than that....not bad and I used to fly a lot.

OP gonna lose his shyt if his plane has to make a sharp turn during takeoff:skip:

I've been itching to fly in a plane lately, enjoy breh!

I've been thinking about flying from NYC to DC and taking the Bus back to NY on some day trip tip, just to say I rode on a plane as I never been on one before.

I might have go to Orlando soon and I was :ohhh: at flying RT fares being cheaper than Greyhound AND Amtrak :ohhh:
