I love what my man R.A. did for us this season, but dude is 38. You got a chance to set yourself up with a top flight catcher who is 15 years younger, and costs less money, while getting a potential replacement for dikkey in the rotation (down the line) as well. Not to mention that both are highly regarded. If we get D'Arnaud, I'm doing this in a nanosecond.

I'm the first nikka to want the Wilpons out of the way, and I still do. But this is Sandy running the show, building for the future. I'm OK with taking a couple hits now, as long as I can see some semblance of direction and planning.

Exactly... What's the sense of keeping him around and building on that if he is probably ready to peel in two years? Low key my nikka D-Wright was spitting about that on WFAN a couple weeks ago. This is what the deal looks like right now. D'Arnaud, Syndergaard, Buck and prospect for dikkey, Thole and prospect, and that is highway robbery for Los Metropolitans.
