I've worked in environments with Cacs all my life and have never felt that comfortable around them. Working wise yeah, but as far being social and talking about things outside of work with them?... Nah

I just spent 3 months on project with nothing but white people and it was terrible, shyt was killing my spirit muthafukkas listening to Katy Perry and Miles Cyrus and shyt wanting to eat sushi all the damn time for lunch.

Got my promotion and came back to work with my nikkas and it was

I used to work around a lot of cacs, but they were very cultured due to our work. They had to adjust and learn about every situation, walk of life etc

We worked directly with the public because we were a media organization

When you're the only Black employee, white people seem to think you're the source of all answers about Black people and whenever they have a question about Blacks, they'll hit you with them.

you begin to notice patterns, "is this what white people really think of us", and then they'll hit you with the "you're different from other Blacks but...."

this can make a Black person more acutely aware of their own interactions with Blacks, wondering if they notice the same things about Blacks as their white co-workers do.
