I haven't played backyard/street football in over 30 yrs. I'm tryna remember the rules we played by

We played 2 versions on hood football

1 Was regular street ball football similar to all mention;

• 3 Downs for 1st
• Countdown blitz (1 Mississippi 2 Mississippi 3 Mississippi. 4 Mississipp)
• We did run plays
• Was tackle (A lot of us got hurt back then too)

2 the other was “Throw up Tackle”, this game wasn’t for the meek

• Basically 1 vs all
• Throw up the ball and who ever catches has to try to avoid everyone and get to endzone, if you score then run it back to the other.
• If tackled, throw the ball up and repeat
