duh ...

it's the music business :dead:

because thier has always been a demand for hook friendly ...club orientated music directed towards women

why the fukk will i open a bigger budget towards an artist who NEVER went past gold...and is 41 years old with music that's never been a mainstay on the charts or the clubs

the consumers has spoken...regardless how "foolish" drake looks in front of the minority crowd of hip hop purist males
If u know universal has more invested in drake theres no need to bring up sales when we know the machine is going make sure drake sales regardless if his album is trash or not. This battle was entertaining to hip hop fans and will go down in history as the battle drake got spanked. When we look back 10 years from now ppl gonna remember this L drake took jus like if meek try to claim he was the best rapper ppl are goin to bring up the fact he got washed by drake.Nikki sold a lot of records but she can never claim to be the best when we know remy washed her.. Fuk sales and who songs are streaming the most, that's not what hip hop is about. These rappers want to be the best in their craft

breh nobody was gonna stop listening to Drake. But as far as being a rapper, he lost all respect. He's still a dope pop artist tho. AND he better not be talking greasy on his new album. No more "chune for ya head top" bs. Keep it poppy Drake.

Dawg nobody RESPECTS RAPPERS anyway......

why you think MUMBLE RAP is so dominate..........

if you don't have CATCHY SINGY HOOKS and BANGING BEATS..your "bars" are meaningless

and it's been like that for like a decade now...

you guys wasn't shooting in the gym with me in the late 80s and early 90s when RAPPERS WERE RESPECTED....

lord finesse..grand puba...o.c...kool keith....icecube...rakim..master ace

you "kids" was raised on HIP POP..........

biggie was taught to make HIT RECORDS...jay z makes club bangers......

when was the last time you or anybody been to a show where the deejay catches wreck on the turntables??

so stop it b.........

the cultural aspects of hip hop died LONG before OVO became a factor

"im NOT A RAPPER...im a HUSTLER " - JAY Z..."the rapper"

:russ: Cocaine cowboy Pusha T. is just as much focused on MONEY as drake or any other commercial rapper...

he is NOT a backpack rapper who doesnt mind doing FREE SHOWS for the community to bring consciousness

i use to be just like YOU ...as a young fan assuming ...yeah ...they really are intuned to being the best at thier craft as opposed to revenue...

till i realize that was BULLSHYT once i got my first industry jobs.... :manny:

sorry buddy but your favorite rapper has always been trying to be like his favorite trapper since the golden era

All that personal below the belt shut is corny to be honest. If you hate someone that much, get at them in real life. I have a theory that it's mostly white people and North Easterners who are so into the over the top lines. In the south battle rap aint a sport like that and disrespect leads to other shyt. In the words of Boosie "where I'm from whoever gets killed 1st loses the rap battle "
No disrespect but Yall south nikkas is guests in this hiphop shyt.
We see what the game devolved into in yall hands.
I dont give a fukk what lil boosie talkin bout.

Back in MIA
the "consumers" not the "hip hop purists" dictate who wins the WAR
:manny:

Shade Room is 99% women. The fact that Drake couldn’t hit 90% in a follower demographic that’s largely never heard of Pusha T is astonishing.

And you can’t compare those older diss tracks to what happened over the last week. Social media has changed the clout game. I bet more casual hip hop fans have heard the Pusha T track (or at least heard about the beef) than have heard Ether or Takeover.

That's great....but it would be even greater if you PURCHASED it...like i did :manny:

i would love Pusha to reap the rewards he deserves for his craft....

but Pusha own fans are not following through..... :francis:

for him to get bested by Asap Rocky who doesn't even have a single or buzz as strong as Pusha right now....

Pusha sold more than rocky

what's astonising is that Billboard is reporting a 40% upsurge in Drake's streaming performances since Pusha released his last diss..

and now has 5 SONGS in the top 20....gods plan....nice for what....walk it like i talk it.....look alive...yes indeed....

a good diss song is based on it's IMPACT as well

if more casual fans have heard pusha t track which is CLEARLY THE BEST out this "battle" then it should be reflected in this battle

i remember being a BIG MC SHAN/JUICE CREW fan...but when KRS ONE dropped south bronx and bridge is over...

i was like fukk shan :camby:

and became a instant KRS ONE/BDP FAN

i love Pusha t. response..it was ether like......

but let's be honest here

What's done? :why:

i hear more drake music than ever on the radio...nice for what reached no. 1 again.....and he is now the no. 1 streaming artist in the world

you are NOT done until your CAREER is done....

ask Jay-z.......and LL cool j...

people thought it was over for Jay after ether.....

people such as myself thought it was over for LL after Canibus delivered that "K.O"

but we OG fans have seen this movie before.....

the "consumers" not the "hip hop purists" dictate who wins the WAR
:manny:

This is why I blame 50 for bro going up album sales. What’s done is the battle. Push won. You don’t have to ja rule someone for a battle to be over and for you to win. Push won. The fans won. It’s moving the goal posts to act like Push literally had to force Drake into retirement for this to be considered an L for Drake.

So to answer your original question. What’s done is the battle. Push threw out a small combo, Drake landed a nice shot, but got rocked in the next exchange and quit on the stool in between rounds.

The hip hop crowd knows the deal. To the hip hop crowd (and who cares if the whites women and the high school kids don’t care) Drake has to hold the L here.

I fukks wit yall south nikkas but how the fukk yall gonna make rules on some shyt yall had no stake in the first place?

This battle rap shyt IS and will always be apart of hiphop.
