I used to do doordash on the side they only pay $2-3 per order + tips. Even if your only 2 miles away that doesn't mean the driver is. They have to go there sometimes wait and drive to you, best case scenario with no wait time and little traffic that orders still gonna take 15 minutes. 4 orders an hour with no tip is around $10-12 a hour and you gotta subtract gas.

I think I know why you made this thread doe you probably ordered food didn't tip and nobody accepted the order so UberEATS grouped your struggle order with another one and your food was finally picked up and delivered cold.

They don’t see the tip amount till it’s picked up though.

Ordered some Japanese food last week; 2 items and a ginger ale. I get the food and the ginger ale was missing but I was hungry so it was whatever

but you start seeing the weird Uber Eats delivery person "community" of weird ass people bringing you food.

One time I ordered food and a damn mini van with a Mexican family pulled up. moms, pops and 2 kids in the back with backpacks. Just bizarre. When the fukkin app says one person is coming, I don't wanna see 2-4 other people looking out at me like like they are delivering meth to me

Restaurants are having trouble finding workers because people are fed up with low ass pay. If WE don’t pay the wages the restaurant HAS to step up and pay better if they want to remain in business. It’s why you are starting to see signs up at McDonalds with starting wages of $15hr+

Naw they see the tip, item count, and mileage first and they can accept or decline the order.

If base pay is $3 and the order comes through as $10 that means the customer tipped $7
