What a weird and incoherent rant. Forgive me if I dont see the connection between Bey's album flopping, and a key to unlocking black empowerment and self love.

The primary issue with your theory is that you are basing individual self pride among black folks completely on the proportion of antagonism whites have against blacks, and vice versa. A paranoid and hateful outlook is not a fertile ground for a restful, productive mind. Why do you need others to hate you in order to love yourself? Why do you need a black person's career damaged in order to start feeling upbeat?

At any rate, circling back to Beyonce's track, the coli has reacted to her positive, relatable record with universal scorn. As with virtually everything around here nowadays, many have pretzeled themselves in knots in order to rationalize their ultra-negative response to something this is objectively positive.

With black friends like y'all, who needs white enemies?
The Coli is so anti black celebrity and anti women that they failed to see the genius in this Beyonce Record.

Instead of being Preachy like a Lupe, KRS1 or even Kendrick and sounding like you are coming down the mountain with tablets Beyonce used the visuals as a way to get her black empowerment message across while the background is a catchy, light hearted fun tune. So know one is actually turned off because you dont hear someone running down of checklist of "why black people need to do better" but you project black pride and love in what people seeing.

predictably the coli still hated it and focused on Beyonce's hair color all the while the most they are doing to advance black people in this country is receiving daps for calling people "c00ns and cacs"

Beyonce doesnt have to do anything on her time. She chose to do what she did when given the biggest stage available.

What are you doing other than complaining on the internet.

Beyonce will not flop. She isn't a Keri Hilson, Monica, Brandy, or other "urban" singer. She's a worldwide megastar. I understand where you're coming from but how exactly would her album flopping be a good thing?
Dude just a crab in a barrel...

Nigg*** only wanna bring other blks down to size... never these evil cacs.

Good manners when you eatin' ya sloppy ja-hoes
Did Beyonce even write the damn song?

I know she probably got writing credit like most other 'performers'....but did she really have a hand in writing/producing the shyt?

Seems to me people making a big deal because a popular performer went song-shopping for a controversial song that would keep her name in the headlines

First off this isn't a hate thread against Beyonce, so let me explain:whoa:

With all of this controversy the last few days surrounding Beyonce and her "pro-black" song FORMATION, white amerikkka is simply proving what i said in this thread:

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/black-people-are-the-worlds-entertainment.390634/

They merely see us as "entertainment".

Dunk basketballs, catch footballs and make mindless music that glorifies the destruction of your own communites and they love us. But as we're seeing with Beyonce, the minute we want to uplift and empower OURSELVES, they have a problem.

This is because they HATE seeing us uplifted and empowered. Empowered black people doesn't benefit white supremacy. White supremacy NEEDS us to have low self-esteem. White supremacy NEEDS us to remain fractured and untrusting of one another. White supremacy NEEDS us to continue to think lowly of ourselves and one another. A nation full of conscious, uplifted and united black people is what AmeriKKKa does NOT want. This is exactly why 90% of the easily-accessible, mainstream music you hear on urban radio glorifies and promotes destructive and/or criminal behavior. This is by design yall.

Music itself is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. This is fact. Music has the ability to motivate, uplift, inspire and educate. They know this, and thats exactly why they are so heavily invested in OUR music. This is why they took control of hiphop, a genre WE created. In 2016, black music is more of a detriment to its own people and a benefit to white supremacy. Most of the mainstream black music you hear today glorifies a "backwards" mentality thats detrimental to the forward progress of black people.

Agents will be in here shortly to dispute everything ive just said, but its true. Its not "just entertainment", its psychological warfare. A tactic thats been used against us since we were taken from our homeland and bought over here as free labor:

I said all of that to say this: I HOPE white people boycott the shyt out of Beyonce's next album. Why? Because i hope that it would be a wake up call to ALL black artists who are currently shuckin and jivin and making soulless/mindless music for white audiences. Instead of pandering to white folk who wouldnt piss on you if you were on fire, how bout start back making music with MEANING and SOUL.

The love, soul and social commentary has LONG been drained out of black music. We need it back yall. I dont know about yall, but music is a HUGE part of my life and it saddens me to see where black music is now.

Maybe im tripping with this little fantasy of mine, but we really could use a spark to bring back the kind of music that had us uplifted loving ourselves and chanting "Im black and im proud!!!!!":blessed:

PEACE

Sidenote. The kids you hear singing I'm black and I'm proud" are Asian and White.

And fukk what yall talking about I fukks with @PhonZhi dude is on point about this music shyt. I quit listening to 95.7 Jamz and hip hop related stations. Better to find hip hop online. Plus the 103.7's of the world are playing a lot of dope pop right now. And thirdly you don't hear white men and white women having gender wars every fukking song. In fact. they still making love joints talking about the opposite sex. None of that "These hoes ain't loyal", "nikkas ain't shyt" stuff that fly on urban radio.

But the OP is completely excluding previous successful artist who were very pro black. Public Enemy, Native Tongues, plenty of pro black 70s acts most importantly What's going on by Marvin Gaye
