low-key, they basically followed TNA's lead and did for aj styles, what TNA just did for michael bennett. they followed that blueprint to the T.

the pop he got at rumble alone is way more than enough buildup to get the attention of oblivious fans. lol. oblivious casual fans are bad but theyre not THAT slow.

and aj styles is not some wrestler that worked indie midcard or some chit. hes a LEGEND. same for samoa joe, whos looking stupid in NXT, especially after how he likes to diss TNA whenever they fall out.

not saying these guys' names are as big as a ric flair, sid vicious or lex luger but these are the modern day versions of those guys jumping to wwf.

I was reading the Observer and they were talking about the whole idea of Mania and the two ways they may go at it and one was to have Roman actually keep chasing the belt and lose at Mania by Dean swerving on him and costing him the match, with the idea that the new programme would be Roman vs Dean and Triple H......vs AJ

AJ could easily slip between the cracks of mid-card once Rollins, Cena and Orton get back into the mix. It'd be ideal to have him sitting in the main event slot waiting for the gawds to get back, but there's too much that can go wrong for me to raise hope.

I would be okay with AJ taking a bit of his time, at first, and get the casual fans used to him. TNA wasn't that good to just have him leap frogging all the mid carders who have been floundering for years outside of KO.

He can kick off around Summerslam, but I really hope people weren't expecting him to hotshot into a co-WM ME spot after just showing up at the Rumble. He got his dikk sucked for 2 straight weeks now (Miz got him over like freshly printed mint Monday). Let the fans swallow first. Feud with Jericho and KO, and then go after bigger fish.
