Personally I think he should have stayed in academia, perhaps as a policy wonk or local politics at best, being slightly better than bush isn't much on an allocade when we live in such times,what I wouldn't give to him bill clinton back . Saying that, I do sympathise with him,when it comes to these situations because whatever he says, the extremes on both sides will hate him.

Obama is a better president than Bill Clinton, don't let the fact that Clinton had a tech bubble fool you. A lot of the shyt happening right now is Clinton's fault. A lot of the deregulation we have right now can be placed at his feet.
