It's a tolerable sport. I'll go to a Nats game every once in awhile and keep up with what they're doing. But it's not something I plan my day around watching or anything.

Honestly, if you never played the sport in your life, but played basketball, football, soccer, etc you're probably not gonna get into it. I'm lucky I played everything because I can have an appreciation for all of them equally. The same fun in noticing how precise a WR's route running is, the patience of a RB waiting for his blocks, a corner not opening his hips up too soon, a center's footwork, a PGs handles, a shot blocker's reflexes etc, you can find in baseball if you know what to look for. The sequence of a pitcher's pitches depending on who he's facing, why a batter is slumping and how he gets himself out of it, the break an outfielder gets on a flyball. Baseball isn't the slightest bit boring.

I never played organized baseball but I still appreciate the game. In fact, I'm on record in this forum saying baseball takes the most skill out of any sport. It's amazing what those guys do.

Man I'm with you when I was kid I was heavy into the Mets with Doc and Straw, but then I started to get into football and baseball started catching the back burner. Plus back in the day I didn't have games, Internet, and movies on tap so I watched it. Now every Year I'm like this is the year, and got damn its boring as hell. give it 15 mins and I gotta change it man.

I started watching baseball back around 95-96 when Ken Griffey Jr. was that nicca. Then I made a few friends a couple friends started playing Home Run Derby at cats houses during the weekends. The rest was history.
My cousin a few years back was like
you like baseball? Fast forward a few years, now he follows it cuz he has two young sons that are heavy into playing baseball and look like they're gonna take it as far as they can. It also helps that they live in the DFW area and the Rangers are good now.

I feel baseball is a lot more fun to watch when
1) you go to a live baseball game
2) theres a motive
here in the bay.. when barry bonds chasing records shyt was hype as fukk, when they go into the play offs its hype as fukk and since winning the world series has stayed consistent... now people have a motive.. a reason to go, its a winning franchise now. Excitement builds more excitement.
Oakland A's used to be that team, and now they havnt been winning past couple years, traded off all their decent players(the last big names we had was based when Moneyball was made
think about that for a second..) so no one goes.. But Oakland used to be more the popular team when they had the steroid brothers.
I feel Thats why its hard to support teams like the astros cause theres no motive to..
