Dean is top-notch, he's one of the only handful of guys that comes off natural in his on-screen persona

They're having him pull pranks and mutilate a Seth Rollins dummy... how is this a good time to make a call on whether what he does falls flat or not?

The only thing I can fault him on is that he should have absolutely refused to do that fukking awful segment.

One of the older wrestlers...maybe it was Stone Cold or Jericho but not sure, said one of the problems with not having territories to go to or a WCW out there is you felt safer saying no to dumb storylines and protecting your character, but now if you do something like that...the young ones are afraid they'll get jobbed out to Hornswoggle and there is no threat to go to ROH or TNA because the money is not there like it was during WCW.

But on the other hand, you keep hearing about how Vince respects people who stand up to him....but now you have HHH involved and who knows how he looks at it. I think the problem is, these guys are making good money even if they have dumb storylines, and they can't all go to New Japan like AJ Styles did and make a decent living....or might not want to.

I enjoy his ring-work mainly, but as has already been mentioned, they need to lay off of the Nickelodeon foolery. I don't know if its totally on 'creative' or if he has a say in it, but its doing him no favors.

It's one thing if him and Seth are in the crowd fighting, and he spots say some popcorn and he hits him with the bucket, its quite another when that popcorn is already an established prop that you want to use. Its going too far left and after awhile, if not contained, those antics can become a part of your gimmick and not in a good way.

Meh. Well see in time where this is going...

Plus he had the gall to put your head thru a cinder block nearly ending your career.
"Terry Funk ambushed Ric Flair after his match with Steamboat and gave him a piledriver on a table. What? You think this should lead to a brutal 'I Quit' match? You're fired. Invest in Nickelodeon Gak. I have an idea."

He feels like the product of a haste meeting with creative and brass where everone was like "Okay guys, the top drawing stars apart from Cena are either gone, part time or injured and more and more people are complaining about the PG era stuff. We need a game changer! Check out these outlaw and renegade examples from the past and draw out a name from his hat which has the entire current roster"

But he's okay all things considered.
Nah this is essentially a face version of his Jon Moxley character from CZW

The unhinged lunatic gimmick which comes natural to him comes off as corny and forced with them packaging it and forcing it down everyones throat right out of the gate.

Doesn't help when he's got Cole and Lawler (the 2 most out of touch commentators in the world of sports) constantly trying to convince everyone how 'edgy' he's supposed to be either.:scust:

Rollins should have been a face. Ambrose should have been a heel. Reigns could have been a tweener. I swear they turned Rollins just for the shock factor.

Are the writers that bad or is it Steph and Vince's bad direction?
