how should i take it out of lost mode i dont have the usb cable to reset it how can i do it without it just shutting it off should turn off tracking right???

i got the cable and reset it so it no longer locked in lost mode. is it possible to switch to att????? i use to do it on the 4 with the sim unlock card but what are the process of doing it on the 5 or 6 and how do i tell which model i have. i called att but they want to ask too much questions for no reason plz help me out yall.
