i remember thinkin' that ja was bout to make a comeback and then nothin'. fans and people had moved on and didn't give 1 single fukk

hip hip is all about the moment and timin' and the minute muthafukkas hear or see somethin' new, they can be quick to forget all about what was yesterday

:wow:

Dope thread :wow:

thanks bruh :salute:
:ohhh: you might be right i never looked at it like that

yeah man

trust me, i had all those 50/ g unit mixtapes and even power of the dollar and all that shyt. i was fukkin' with his music in the beginnin' like most people were

plus at the time, i always kept my ear to what was "next"

but i hardly ever go back and listen to any of 50 cent shyt and it's been that way for years outside of "ryder music" which i do love and obviously i still nod my head to "in da club" when i'm at a party or bbq or some shyt lol

but 50's music is so much of a time period that it's like now when you listen to it or at least for me, it just don't hold up outside of the couple of songs i named :yeshrug:

yeah, that g unit song was cool and it holds up well but you know what? the main reason i really like it is because joe is interpolatin' marvin gaye's "come live with me angel" and of course that melody is just infectious

gotdamn, marvin was a genius :wow:

yeah, "window shopper" was cool but i have no want to really go back and listen to it now. not sayin' it's a bad song because it's not, it's just not a a song i care to really go back and listen too. it's neither here nor there to me now. "get rich or die tryin" soundtrack had a few song son there but again outside of maybe "what if", i could care less :ld:

Yeah you right. He was clowning him for singing n doing songs for the hoes n he end up doin the same shyt. shyts crazy cuz if he never hooked up wit dre n that corny ass white boy, we wouldn't hear shyt about him.

this really isn't true tho, we heard "how to rob" before em or dre was even in the picture. dre and em def gave 50 the exposure he needed. He got too gassed tho, calling himself "curtis 'interscope' jackson" when he was already being played out. He bit the hand that fed him and thats why he was thrown in the bushes.

I think you'd be right if jam master jay wasn't involved to begin with.

:russ: at "ja rule time"

unreleased cmc? what album? :dwillhuh:

It was supposed to be released via def jam & tvt records, his old label he was signed to before he got on. CMC was his old group on tvt. It was supposed to released sometime in 2002 but Lyor Cohen's birch ass reneged and got sued by tvt for $30M

He woulda been a mid tier rapper nowhere near the star he is (or was) today. I remember I used to hate that muthafukka. I didn't listen to none of that shyt.
Now I don't give a fukk I don't know either one of them:manny:

Yea I'm not ashamed. I was a fan n still is. I would like to get ahold of that muthafukka tho:patrice:this new era of rap is bullshyt

this new era of hip hop got me over here goin' back and listenin' to ja rule albums and actually appreciatin' them. picture that! :mindblown:

but like i said, for as corny as ja rule could be sometimes, he always had a ear for the some singles and now i see that he did a good job with his 1st 3 albums as well
