I dunno man with all this legal shyt flying around these days dudes faking injuries to get settlements.... It ain't how it was in my pops days where two nikkas could scrap throw down and work out their differences without bringing somebody momma, PD or Jake J.D. into the situation.
There is just too many societal repercussions for defending just PRIDE as a Man these days. It don't matter who start the fight even if no one dies some dumb white girl will give the cops your description and you'll both get slapped with a warrant for disturbing the peace.
Some year later not even knowing about your sketch floating at some random precinct you'll be in that particular hood and pulled over for not signaling lane change and arrested on the spot. That shyt will be on your record and you'll have to get it expunged before applying for a new gig. (YES just the arrest itself).
These days any petty crime they stack warrants for nameless faces and faceless names. They just grasping at straws trying to get any Black person they can in the system and barred from employment.
This is why I bought a spy cam that looks like a pen clips onto my front pocket or bottom of the collar. Same vision as a police body cam. I don't have money to be spending on lawyers with live footage you can leverage that and get the DA to throw that shyt right the fukk out. They looking for bum ass uneducated and unconnected easy targets not cold calculated nikkas like me.
Long story short keep a cool head and take the high route. It really and TRULY ain't worth it many a time to be even bothered.
Unless the hood gonna raise money for your legal funds - They ain't got yo back. 9 out of 10 times you need to first think about "How can I walk away from this situation with no drama/case and what will be the legal financial repercussions of fighting this nikka today?"
Most nikkas can't afford a $500 a month retainer for a lawyer that is most of yall rent money. For me that shyt eats into my alcohol and fun budget. And I ain't having that, just so I can say I knocked out Debo Jr.
