No way you're getting 10 hours. That's macbook air battery life. My girl has a Retina and gets like 5-6.how long is your battery life?

It's $2,000 for a 15 inch, breh.dawg. ya'll are trolling with this argument.
Its not 4x
its MAYBE 1.5-2x...and thats on the high end.
ANNNND we gotta be honest here.
Macs have best in class build quality
Best in class weight
best in class battery management
best in class software integration...windows doesn't own shyt, therefore all that fragmentation creates more sources of error from the hardware and takes it away from the core. Its why Apple can make iPhones with "less under the hood" but perform better than these juiced android phones with XYZ stats.
UI and UX can't be beat IMO.
Windows 8 is....cool...but the hardware AND software helps make apple what it is.
Don't get me wrong. You need tons of 3rd party software to enjoy OS X. I've got my VLC. I've added tons of stuff to safari (which is better than chrome on OS X imo). I've got microsoft office open right now etc...
but...when we talk about the sheer integration of OS X and the subtle features they include (it doesn't matter who does it first, but who does it BEST, )they really can't be beat IMO.
2k is too damn much. I have that very laptop. But you out your fukkin mind if you think you can get a 1800p screen for 5-600. Opinion is now null and voidIt's $2,000 for a 15 inch, breh.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I could set up a comparable laptop for 5-600-ish dollars.
And build quality? Dude, that's a great point when talking about homes and clothes...but realistically when's the last time a laptop had to be serviced because of keypad issues and shyt? I mean how badly are some of you treating your laptops that build quality ever even becomes an issue?
Battery? Eh. I suppose. I got nothing here.
Software integration? Well, what are you doing? Can we be honest and admit that 95% of macbook users only use the shyt for internet browsing and youtube videos? Maybe the occasional photoshop/lightroom edit? I mean the pretentiousness that comes out of some Macbook users...as if they're editing shyt for Vogue magazine or Lucasfilm...please....
I'm really not trying to shyt on macbooks but I just don't see the value in it. Even bumping the cost comparison up....say to $1,000...you could easily build a windows laptop that equals or beats a macbook on sheer power and would have similar software capabilities.
I'd rather get a Surface tablet if I spend that much.
same...Mac are a powerhouse. Def. great for nice programs like Photoshop and Final Cut Pro plus others. Y'all are trippin.
They are still over priced though. But I want one.![]()
bought straight from apple?buy refurbished, brehs![]()
my model was about 400 cheaperbought straight from apple?
how much cheaper was it?

I didn't even know computers came with less than 8 RAM still. lol.I got a Macbook Pro a few months ago, upgraded to 8 GB of RAM .
10 hoursidk about that..

(and you can't go by what it tells you once you unplug the power cord. That shyt overestimates like a muthafukka. Telling me I'm getting 13 hours. Nope...)

OS X is a smoother and more stable OS in my eyes. It's $2,000 for a 15 inch, breh.

I'm second guessing even starting this thread.Same old story. nikkas who never used mac shytting on it. Its okay I used to be the same. Use a mac, and you'll never go back. Trust
) and dudes are in here talking about "oh well my moms boyfriend (
) has a laptop with 64 ram and a 20 petabyte SSD and 240 ghz processor etc that NASA uses to crunch numbers...and it has 30 day battery life
"

I used to have an Asus before I gave it to my mom.
I get that Mac lovers are passionate about them.
But I can't see the point of spending 4x the value for a Macbook.
And I know that people will say stuff like "But PCs always get viruses and malware"....
That's because you don't protect your shyt. I mean if you want to spend 4x more because you're too lazy to download some free software, more power to ya...ya know?
In any case, I do think the Macbooks are pretty cool.
Enjoy, breh.
and I only use freeware antivirus software:zfg:
