he was never a go to artist. people arent going to listen to a song because game is featured, even back around the documentary era. that doesnt mean they dont fukk with him.

You missed my OP completely. When I say features, I mean hits singles or meaningful albums, not mixtape tracks and unreleased B singles. You know kind of like how Game has Wayne on every single he has released but Wayne puts Shyne(
) on his album before game.

The funny thing is his album is decent but the dozens of features kill it. Was 2 chainz necessary on Ali Bombaye? Was that Kid Cudi weed carrier or the cac weeknd necessary? LOL@Game using his guest feature XP up before the Fab verse was finished. And\ Exec was probably in the studio during the mixing session like we only have enough budget left for half a verse

the album is decent but the features kill it? the music is either dope or its not. if u dont like him u dont have to like him. and all this talk about him using his whole budget is hilarious. for one, none of us know what his budget looks like. its all speculation. yet we have people on here that make it sound like they are the a&r's on these projects. i doubt his promo even has a budget. none of his singles ever really chart since doctors advocate and we dont see any promo for his albums ever. they know he has a fanbase that will cop regardless

Jay post Black Album doesn't have that many features either, other than people in his social circle ( Dr Dre, Kanye, Beyonce, etc). I know he did a feature for a Usher song though.... Lupe & Jay Elec but that's about it.
Even before that, Mariah Carey, Mya... that's about it.
I'm not counting the Roc, Biggie, Ja Rule, DMX & Foxy for Obvious Reasons...
But I think in Jay's case in the post Black Album era he probably is very holds back with his features to sell his boss image. Lupe & Jay Elec are Elite lyricists so Jay doing a with them dude's couldn't hurt unless they completely bodied him on the track.
Also 50 never has any features either, even when he was hot, I remember he was on the "Work it" remix with Missy and had a feature on a Mary J Bilge album like 10 years ago, I copped that Mary J album just because of the 50 feature.
And of course the song with Chief Keef.

Yea, 2 chainz is garbage and hes all over that track. Chip the ripper is trash. The features are overkill. You know damn well an album that has that many big name features/producers has a pretty large budget even without promo.

the 2 chainz verse was cool. i could have done without the king chip and common verses, but it is what it is. im sure the budget is big, but we just arent sure
