Breh… The late 00s/early 2010 was an onslaught of black trauma porn and buffoonery.

Tyler Perry and his Madea nonsense. Interestingly enough, both he and Lee Daniels were being championed by Oprah. A coincidence?

The final straw for me was The Help. The way I saw so many white folk (white women in particular) lining up so giddy to watch it, I refused to spend a cent watching it. They love watching movies about the good old days when black folk were subservient.

And then a few years later, another Lee Daniels shyt show “The Butler” came out, starring and supported by Oprah once again.
