u didn't think about it before you decided to post that gif

think about all the rappers who were popping before Kanye and look at the game after him.

His overall influence while refreshing at first was bad for the industry in the long run

I want that goonery to come back, Kanye made it okay to be a homosexual in rap

Chingy had no influence on the game

Ye' did, and as a result the game is now filled with skinny jean wearing hipsters

Yea Pharell and Common were dressing like that before Kanye made it pop but back then we just looked at those two guys like they were weird eccentric fakkots and kept it moving.

No one was actually trying to emulate them

I already knew where you were going with this . . and if you want to hold Kanye West as single-handedly responsible for the artistic advancement of hip-hop than so be it . . that "goonery" was played out and holding the whole genre back from growing. We got sick of hearing people walk in the recording booth to do their tough guy impressions

You are obviously white or at least a real ass c00n, which is why you would want goonery to dominate black culture.
But yeah when before Kanye was on the come up and before Kanye was a major force we had rappers like Petey Pablo, Nelly, Yung Joc, lil Jon, Franchize Boys, D4L, Mike Jones, J-Kwon and on dominating shyt. And a few good ones like Jeezy and Ross.

After Kanye's influence started taking forum we got people like Kendrick Lamar, Lupe, J. Cole, Drake, Blu, Big Sean, Cudi, Wale ALL somewhat inspired by Kanye. And then we had 50 not inspiring anyone and Lil Wayne/Jeezy/T.I. inspiring the "wack" rappers and Dipset inspired everyone.

MAN.. NO HE DIDN'T!

If anything, Kanye did a GOOD thing for hip hop, he contributed to the washing away all that trash shyt that was poppin.. there were a select few good groups and rappers, but overall, lookin back a lot of it was cheesy and a time and place thing. Kanye, in my opinion helped remind people that hip hop isn't just something that goes in one ear, out the other and to bump to.. it's a creative art form.

I get what you're sayin' op.. the beef, the violence etc etc was "exciting" as a spectator, but without it, it's not like hop hop is dead.

AND HOW YOU GONNA TALK BOUT KANYE BRINGIN "HOMOSEXUAL" ATIRE SH*T TO HIP HOP WHEN CAM STARTED A WHOLE TREND OF PEOPLE ROCKIN' PINK?! I love Cam, and that's not a knock at him.. but lets be real, before Kanye people was on some feminine fkn shyt so don't go trynna put all the blame on him.
