so what happens when someone likes your idea? Do you plan on trying to attract accredited investors to the site or something?

Thats what im waiting to hear. OP are you gonna partner with angel investors or hedge funds or something?
the US has actually lowered the requirements where you don't even need to be accredited (rich) anymore to invest. the only thing is there are a lot of sites similar to this. off the top of my head I can think of circle up, angel capital market, go4funding, startups.co and that's not mentioning the 100 crowd funding sites like kick starter.
100% agree. It's a saturated market for sure but perhaps he can tailor it to a certain demographic (BLACK PEOPLE) that are under served and feast like a king. If the site starts popping he can easily make money off ads or partner up with a bigger company like linkedin or some shyt. But OP you have to make the site stand out and appeal to people. Give people an incentive to use your site vs the ones Domingo already named.
Also, as an investor why should i look to your site to find the next great idea
100% agree.
1. The site looks more like a list generating landing page. It's all hook with no bait. I sorta trust you cause you have a slight history here but for someone just landing on this page WTF do you have to offer me for my information? More and more people are realizing they need to guard their info, your page asks for that information right off the bat without so much as even really telling the visitor what you offer.
2. The site is ambiguous at best. Do you have a 30 second pitch, are you asking for 30 second pitches?
3. If you're going to have two tracks (investors and entrepreneurs) the provide some information for each potential visitor.
4. For Entrepreneurs: What are you offering? Coaching, access to investors (if so do you have them lined up already?). Do you help with social media? Loans? Product development? Patenting? What security, if any, do you offer to prevent their ideas from getting stolen?
5. Investors: Do you vet potential projects? Are you licensed? Do you have a contract help? I assume you'll be looking at more of a micro funding business plan for smaller investors so is their a breakdown on return on investment? Are they buying into companies or are these loans with fixed terms? etc, etc, Remember investors want 2 things. 1. To know their money is safe. 2. To know they are going to get paid back plus some...how are you doing these two things?
Great idea, but truthfully I can't register in good faith alone so all i can see is the landing page...
so i take it one can only join your site if they have a linkdin or facebook account.....?I frequently come over on the Coli (don't post often, if i do it's in the Film Room. I used to visit SOHH forums a lot too in college) not trying to get the boot for spam but I just began my site, ThirtySecondPitch.com. If you've been working on an idea in your garage, shed, basement or workspace it might be something for you.
It's an entrepreneur site designed around the elevator pitch, all videos are 30 seconds or less to pitch your idea, business, or creation in 30 seconds or less. You can receive feedback, network with other entrepreneurs and share all your videos across all social media platforms. We've also gotten partnerships so you can trademark, patent or copyright your creation. If anyone on here is an entrepreneur with a dope idea this could show you what your idea is like to the world.
