Great book. I have a fukked up zombie dream about once every 2 weeks. The range of zombies in my dreams are crazy. You've got the slow Romero zombies, to the I Am Legend zombie/vampire hybrids. All kinds of crazy shyt. Great book though. You wanna read another fukked up zombie book thats fairly off the wall, read "Monster Island."
Its about a guy who decided he felt the reason why the zombies came back mindless was because of the lack of oxygen going to their brain in between the time they were "dead" and reanimated. So when he was infected and about to die, he hooked himself up to a respirator. Came back with his right mind. Its pretty fukked up and fairly funny at parts. Not at all like World War Z, but a good zombie book regardless.

this book is good but I feel like they don't go in depth about the people some be in counters doesn't get more in depth later on in the book?
I loved that book. My opinion is you need to read the zombie survival guide before reading world war z. It just gives you a lot of background on the solanum virus. It also answers alot of basic questions on why zombies don't stink, how they survive without working organs and basic mobility.
As far as world war z goes that book is the best. I loved the part about the quislings, ferals and lamoe's. No reason to put spoiled tags since it won't make sense until you get to that part.
