All these years later, it is one of my favorite movies of all time, the direction, the acting, the set design, the costumes, it's just a masterpiece. I saw it in theater in 1999, I was like 14-15, and that shyt floored me, how progressively creepy and sinister Damon got, the murders, and that ending..I walked out of there shook...Yes, Seymour Hoffman killed that role

"How's the peeping Tommy, How's the peeping"

"A cordoruy jacket in Rome in the summer??"

The way he pulls up in that red sports car

On the row boat: "You know what Im talking about, we both felt it that night in the bathtub"

Jude Law: :guilty: starts going in on him...

Uncomfortable, awkward scenes, and the brutal violence, and what an an ending. I have read the book, but I think the movie ended up being stronger, the book Ripley is essentially a complete sociopath, and there isn't as much of a descent into killing and madness, as there is an escalation of a small time criminal. Also, I haven't been able to watch, because I can't find it, but Purple Noon from 1963, is the original movie adaptation of Highsmith's novel.

One of my favorite movies. So slept on. Not a bad performance in the movie and it's a dope storyline with great directing.

Ill movie. I watched it with my girl at the time and we had a thirty minute argument about whether or not he got away with all those murders.

Damon's best performance imo.
