Damn thats unfortunate, and also the exact reason I couldn't own a small dog.
My pit has been attacked by (what I'd assume to be) stray dogs on a few occasions when I walk him without a leash, he's held his own every time

As a former pitbull owner, I think everybody that wants to own one should have a background check and go through a licensing class. Pitbulls are dog aggressive. I didn't bring my pitbull around my parents Chihuahua/shiz tsu just to prevent any issues. My dog was great around kids and adults, just like a real pit bull is supposed to be.

Also to thread starter, sorry about your dog. This should remind us to always put our on dog a leash, especially in the front yard.
