I always respected that Soulja Boy never really promoted it too.
He is lost in some ways but was smart enough to know that his fan base were kids so he didn't need to put out that negative energy.

WHERE is the articles, police reports, ANYTHING... even somewhat non-credible sources like TMZ... WHERE is the proof that Soulja busted off an assault rifle in a gated Georgia suburb at the PEAK of his popularity? I even said that he tried to legitimize the "cover-up" of the story because he had little kids as fans... but we all know unless you are on some super secret government feds protection conspiracy, there's no way the news, newspapers, local TV channels, etc etc. are NOT going to report on such an incident. Like... fukking Soulja Boy and his team were able to ERASE this event from being documented officially? ONLY to be spoken of on his old MySpace videos and in his bio movie?

i remember all of this, what I do remember is that nikkas ran in his house he got robbed, and I do remember an interview where one of his boys said "you playing all this gears of war, you need to strap up for real" it was the chubby cat. one poster is correct, even something as small as me being robbed/shot made the news and several news outlets the night it happened. when this happened in 08, I do not in the slightest fashion remember any story of anyone shooting back, just getting stuck up and that's it.

He had Interscope backing and more than likey fixers in place to do "damage control" to Soulja's career i.e. their investment.
I do remember a quick write up about the robbery and shooting, but that was it, no fanfare,
Similar to Eddie Murphys love of trannys being spun into him helping out people late at night, and help contain the image even more, shyt was removed from media outlets and subsequently did a string of kid movies after the fact.
