I might cop a new mpc but I hear they arent the same anymore. Plus I have any vinyl or other gear

depends on what you wanna do, i have a mpc ak45, (200$) it plugs in to my laptop and is compatible with fl studio. so you can use it as a mpc in the traditional sense like that.
or fl studio has a built in mpc, that you can program using just your mouse. certainly doesnt compare to the real thing, but maybe good enough to hold you over til you get the bread to get what you really want.

Your woman should support your passions not squash them. I would have tossed her to the bushes, but I guess you live and you learn. You have to show tough love to these hoes.
