:what: making the minimum, what I need an agent, lawyer, and accountant for? These young nikkas need to smarten up and really try to learn something in school besides chasing bytches. Take some fukking business classes.

Southern California…
1. That's why u choose MLB TO PLAY instead of the nfl and nba

2. eliminate the accountant and agent -- if u can read then u should be able to handle your money

3. u take your contract to a lawyer and pay that 1 time fee for him/her can look over the contract for u

4. pay off your debt and rent a condo until u guaranteed u make it to see a big contract especially the signing bonus for the NFL

Baseball is the way to go tho

No way in hell anyone should feel sorry for a baseball or nba player. On the other hand I think football players that risk their lives on those low ass salaries should get incentives from the league for performance. Its not moral to me that a man can risk his life, ball out, and come away with what relatively amounts to nothing.

saying that playing football is "risking their lives" is overly dramatic.

So a dude who still gets $410,000 after taxes is supposed to garner my sympathy? Please. :rudy:
I dont put these dudes on pedestals.

If he plays 3-4 years, even riding the bench, he can have enough money for the rest of his life(if he lives properly) and can work at Wal-Mart.

They get free food on the road, etc. Especially if ur in the NFL/NBA where you travel alot. Hell look at JEremy Lin, he slept on his brothers couch. That's smart.

you nikkas ain't looking at this the right way

these dudes are getting taxed nearly 50% because they get pay checks like the rest of us......if they were investors they'd be getting taxed only 15% no matter how much money they make

the problem with this country is that some people control the government and are able to game it, while the rest of us are powerless and keep getting fukked in the ass.....and yes that includes the millionaire athlete.......no one feels sorry for them because they make alot more than most people.......but we need to realize that all millionaires aren't equal.....even among the top 1% there is still alot of injustice.......somewhere in the background there is a cac laughing at us as we fight over crumbs while he makes the large money

People need to take a look at this simple but effective list and take heed. I've never realized the need for an agent lawyer and accountant. Maybe the agent so you can get endorsements but eventually he has to go too. But the lawyer and the accountant together is to much and not needed for a person with a decent brain in their head and who knows market value. And buying a 10 million dollar house is not smart if you making 450 k a year so renting that condo is real smart. Hell i'd probably just rent me a decent hotel room if it's cheaper.
