you nikkas ain't looking at this the right way

these dudes are getting taxed nearly 50% because they get pay checks like the rest of us......if they were investors they'd be getting taxed only 15% no matter how much money they make

the problem with this country is that some people control the government and are able to game it, while the rest of us are powerless and keep getting fukked in the ass.....and yes that includes the millionaire athlete.......no one feels sorry for them because they make alot more than most people.......but we need to realize that all millionaires aren't equal.....even among the top 1% there is still alot of injustice.......somewhere in the background there is a cac laughing at us as we fight over crumbs while he makes the large money
thank u.....some people on here r slow, forgive them like i have

I can't say I feel sorry but I understand they are getting underpaid (like everyone else). They gotta take the money they get and put it to good use (like everyone else). This game ain't fair that's for sure.

1. That's why u choose MLB TO PLAY instead of the nfl and nba

2. eliminate the accountant and agent -- if u can read then u should be able to handle your money

3. u take your contract to a lawyer and pay that 1 time fee for him/her can look over the contract for u

4. pay off your debt and rent a condo until u guaranteed u make it to see a big contract especially the signing bonus for the NFL

Baseball is the way to go tho

yea i'm not sure what all an agent does/is supposed to do but the fact that most of these muthafukkas go broke 3-5 years after retirement would make me look at an agent like :mjpls:. You telling me its too much of a hassle to read up on ur rookie contract, contract lengths including how long before your eligible for extensions, max contracts and what all u get taxed on? Shiiiiit... if we talkin about *my* money, i'ma wanna know about alllll of that shyt, and i'ma take my ass to the players union to talk to the older heads about what they did, i'ma turn on the news and see what player just got offered what amount for whatever years, and i'ma take my contract/offer sheet to a lawyer just off gp regardless. and i dont think i need someone tellin me that signing with nike or adidas would be a good idea; just treat that shyt like 2 interviews and compare the offer sheets, compare the signing bonuses. same with mcdonalds vs burger king, gatorade vs powerade. and if anyone comes at me on some "i got a business proposition for you! it can't fail!".... straight :mjpls::mjpls::mjpls:

I think for most players the agents are more involved in getting them endorsements and things of that nature. Or putting in the leg work to get you the proper workouts or improve the spot you're drafted at. So the difference in salary of being drafted say 10 spots higher than you would without that agent is worth the financial investment.

Well, a rookie earning the league minimum $375,00 would pay around 50% in taxes and agent fees so that's about $187,500. That's not too bad for 16 games, plus preseason games, plus practices and workouts. You are getting paid to play. It's not even the whole year, baseball and hockey have way longer seasons. I think it is an incentive to work harder, and land that big money contract with signing bonus. Or if you are a "skilled" weapon on the team, you can request to put in performance bonuses into your contract. Not too many people know about how much that brings in because you hear more about the base contract value and the number of years it is for.

I'm okay with these dudes paying this much. fukk the rich.

My only concern is that while they are being taxed out the ass (As they should), the owners are probably finding more ways to slip out of paying.
