Music is suffering because there is no bar of entry and ppl are too sensitive to accept criticism.
Not many are taking the time to learn music theory and how to play instruments well.
Lyricism-the ability to form a narrative around a concept-is also a lost art form.
Melodies are bland and often recycled.
No one is taking the time to learn how to compose complete songs.
Not to mention, no one understands that actual record production has nothing to do putting your hands on musical equipment.
It's like sports, you have to learn fundamentals first to get trick shot to work for you long-term.
That said, there's a helluva lot of music out there, and some of it is really good.
