You don't have to like or admire a character to appreciate what the writers and actors do with him or her. I think King Lear is a pretty good character and I also think he's a piece of shyt old man. You are supposed to dislike Ziggy, think he's a fukk up, shake your head when he doesn't listen to Nick. That's the idea.
