I dont think it's a foregone conclusion that the eagles draft a receiver in the first round... I think u can draft a decent one in the second or third.
If they have a center or linebacker or corner or defensive end that is a sure first rounder vs. the receivers left on the board. I would rather them take the better player rather than reach for a receiver in the first round.
I dont think the receiver situation is as bad as most people think. We need a speedster on the outside that is for sure. Cant depend on D Jax at this point.

I don't want Raegor in the first round but as a 2nd round pick, sure. I don't want Ruggs unless our staff is 100% confident that JJAW will develop into a solid short & intermediate receiver.

I am coming around to this same sentiment. I would like a 1# WR in the first round but there is good talent in round 2-4 like Van Jefferson and if you want speed John Hightower is Robby Anderson without the bullshyt and hefty contract. I wouldnt be shocked if we trade down to get more picks bc the eagles have to get younger and cheaper

I was always on Hightower....when The Shiek asked me about prospects months ago- im sure I mentioned Hightower as a late round guy. I think he probably is a 4th round WR. I am coming around on Jefferson though...he is probably the second best route runner in the draft and I think his athleticism is understated.

Ruggs is much more than just a speedster. And he may only be 5'11'' but he plays a lot bigger and has the ability to make OBJ type catches with his hands and catch radius
